There is something for everyone at Tryphena House, Great Barrier Island.

Located close to local amenities including the pub, cafes, store and stunning sandy beaches but in its very own secluded corner of Tryphena Harbour.

We can host up to 16 guests. Beautiful gardens, extensive decks, hammocks swinging in the Pohutukawa trees and two heated clawfoot bath tubs with incredible views across Tryphena Harbour.

Kayaks, paddleboards, fishing kayaks, fishing gear are all available and free to use for guests.

If you are coming by boat from Auckland, Tryphena House can easily sort out a mooring for rent during your stay.

Great Barrier Island is the ultimate island getaway, off the beaten track but easily accessible from Auckland.

Fly or sail! Barrier Air offers flights from Auckland airport or a quick 30-minute ride on a small plane from the North Shore. For a scenic voyage, hop on the 4.5-hour Sealink ferry or take a private water taxi to paradise.
