Aotea/Great Barrier Island is a Dark Sky Sanctuary only half hours' scenic flight from Auckland.
The dunes of this pristine, off-grid island are a most picturesque location for stargazing in New Zealand.
Here, Good Heavens' local guides entertain you with interesting facts and the fascinating stories our ancestors used and that may help you too, to make sense of this magical night time world.
Experiences last 1.5-2 hours, are suited to individuals, couples and groups.
Groups are small and locations scenic.
Good Heavens Stargazing Experiences use 8" telescopes and binoculars to guide you deep into space. Private experiences suit large groups, interpreters or children under 8.
To come stargazing, you need to stay on Aotea overnight. Marvel at the stars with Good Heavens Stargazing Experiences.
